This was a question for Jio users but glad to know about other ISPs.

They told me it is because of government order. If it was so, then it would be blocked in all ISPs.

i am likely on NextDNS. i do not think excitel (or their pipeline backend owner) blocks using dns in any case. only way to get around is VPN. encrypted dns does not unlock anything.

officially there is no GOI order to block VPN as a whole. but JIO is eager to block since they are seriously in to DPI and every other interests that is under their Sky
