Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)

If COVID promises to stay away from theatres that is. lol I would rather watch on streaming rather than risk my life in a theatre. Superhero movies will keep coming.

Today we announced that Wonder Woman 1984, the eagerly anticipated tentpole film by Patty Jenkins — with Gal Gadot and Chris Pine reprising their roles as Diana Prince and Steve Trevor — is going to be released worldwide in theaters on December 25th. In the United States, we will also be making this remarkable movie available on HBO Max at no extra cost the same day that Wonder Woman 1984 premieres in theaters, for the first month of the film’s release.

Is this even an official page? Just 1 post? And that too on Medium? lol

I mean the news is true but the page seems wrong. Warner Brothers accidentally uploaded a new trailer (now set to private) detailing the new release information.

Also, other outlets are reporting that for markets where HBOMax is not present, WB will release the movie a lot earlier - December 16 to be exact.

The official HBOMax page is already up though. Still links to the old trailer though.

In the U.S., “Wonder Woman 1984” is hitting the big screen on Dec. 25 as planned. But overseas, where HBO Max is not available, the movie will begin a staggered rollout starting on Dec. 16. Warners opted to release the “Wonder Woman” sequel earlier in international markets in an effort to avoid piracy concerns.
