So it will automatically charge internal battery once phone is charged?

How will it know phone is fully charged?!

That same way it knows that once the phone is charged, it cuts the power to phone.

The ambrane one I have is designed in such a way that I cannot charge the unit and the phone together. The ports are too close to one another.

It's not a big deal. Companies usually highlight it as a feature if the powerbank can charged while charging the phone. I remember seeing it on some Sony powerbanks.

Are you referring to the power pass through feature? I recall someone in the forum that the mi power bank doesn't have it

not sure. but some powerpacks are designed in such a way that they act as the power charger itself. but they are usually smaller in size so that they can be carried in pocket for backup.

@Nishant and @chromaniac, can you guys point me to your respective 2 amp chargers online. I want to buy one but not sure which ones can genuinely give 2 amps.

I cannot say for sure if it charges at 2a. I do not think my Nexus 5 would allow that considering the official charger is 1.2a (?). It has two ports. One is rated at 1a the other is rated at 2a.
