I got it from eBay long back.. I do hope it will work, just like what @dextermorgan said.. Further it has side benefit as well. Clicking the button launches flashlight or open any app of our choice and leaving as it is acts like antenna extension for FM Radio...

As per Redmi Note 4G : Shop Online Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G Smartphone - Mi India both Airtel bands in NCR are supported.

hmm. it was not connecting. i tried enabling 4g through the my airtel app. it shows me a message stating that i should enter the new sim when current one stops working lol. not sure if airtel would home deliver a new sim in the morning. remains to be seen if they would disable my current sim lol.

my airtel recognized the phone. i managed to recharge as well. everything seems to be fine except that it was not connecting to 3g/4g. should not have experimented especially considering this phone does not even need data right now (or usually).

well... the sim they gave me was also 4g enabled but they still had to replace it... twice. so i am wondering if i would need to get the same process done for mom's phone. would check in the morning if the sim is working if it catches lte after turning on data. if not, would visit the airtel outlet and get it checked.

right now yes. but then i am in the basement. let me check upstairs. ps: i have not turned on any data pack. i assume that should not be needed as i would be charged per kb of data used?
