No idea about about most of them, but I guess Pop services were available. I guess that's what I have been using to read my Yahoo mails in GMail.

POP from what I understand was available to users who created their accounts on yahoo.co.in.

I am not sure why Yahoo! thinks it is a good idea to show each line of text in bold.

All those mail are read. And not just mail every line of text is in bold. The headings in the left sidebar, the title of the preview pane and everything. :/ Its a pain in the eyes.
