I didn't see that post but, I tried what it says;

Changing the settings to Header's only, didn't help.

The person said;

Check if, from your yahoo account, you can adjust your forwarding options to only allow new mail. If this is an option mark your old messages as unread in portions that you feel Live Mail can handle without locking up. Synchronize your account with each new section.

Unfortunately, there is no such option in Yahoo!

Ok I think I have found a bug with Firefox when using New Yahoo mail! This obviously is Firefox bug but posting it here because it happens with Yahoo mail.

So just wanted someone else to confirm.

You need to use KEYBOARD for this.
You need to have many messages to delete (one by one)!

You can try with Inbox if you already have many messages that you want to delete. If you dont have many messages to delete then, for testing purpose. Create a temporary folder. Move 10-20 messages from your trash to that folder.

Now go to that folder, and select first email and keep pressing DEL key on keyboard every half second or so.

Your firefox shud crash after pressing DEL 3-4 times.

Well, I just logged into the Yahoo! Mail to check this on Opera, but I should say I am BLOWN away. Yahoo! mail is superfast. GMail feels Stone Age in comparison.

Yes, now that my PC is dead. And I have moved to laptop, I can see that its very fast.

I have deleted thousands of mail from my inbox, earlier version of Firefox used to crash awfully with enormous CPU load.Works absolutely fine now.

I am using an Extra Mail Address with my Yahoo! Mail account.Is it possible to use it separately? I mean, can I remove it's association with the current one?
