i run squid proxy behind FF. but no problem with Y! Mail beta at all, infact I havent switched back to original as I had planned to do.

In most likelyhood, pacenet is running a transparent proxy. When I was with 7star, I found it the hard way. That _could_ be causing the problem. If the problem is visible on all browsers and two different OSes then its mostly the ISP.

Nope. The proxy server comes before FF. So FF runs behind a proxy server.

Aniket, it is ur ISP's problem. I'm pretty sure. Cable ISPs are known to have transparent caching proxies. Most of them are not setup properly so you have such issues!

i remember the time when my local cable isp dude ran a proxy... i was seeing week old static pages on the company's website i was working on.he rejected the idea of stopping using the proxy cache server. i moved on to airtel. was expensive but was fast and reliable.

I think pacenet is the crook here pakka, due to proxyWhen I download anything using wget , it shows "via Pacenet Netcache 1.1" ....How can I protest against this ..are there any rules , regulation regarding this?!Also anyone on Pacenet please try the Beta and report here. I wanna confirm it . Then I ll try to talk to those fools thr. I could not go my friends place to try on triband yet.
