I believe the cost of packages should also increase since DishTV has to pay for 5 more transponders on NSS-6. But looks like DishTV is all set for expansion. Tata Sky better watchout !!
Well there no price increase because this cost can be covered by putting new channels on new TP. So not big problem for Dish TV.Arun Kapoor,Dish TV CEO told that Dish TV ready with some good content channels in next month and also try to putting some exclusive channels for India.
HI this is VasanthRemember that day we did a discussion on MPEG2 and MPEG4 decoding.Actually i got a news regarding this from satellite & cable TV magazine.IT was in MAY month issue on page 87.It said that INSAT 4B is fully operational.'Kalanidhi Maran sun groups has booked 7 ku band transponders for its june launch DTH service Sun direct. Sun will be using MPEG-4 technology that will allow it to compress more TV channels per transponder. While MPEG-2 pack around 12 channels, the advanced compression technology will be able to accomodate over 20 channels'
