I would still say any DTH provider can double their customer base and the revenues if they start a pack which is all inclusive(can exclude regional channels)
Like pay a flat fee of Rs.500/- and get everything, this way they'll earn more, customers will not have to go thru any stupid schemes and a-la-carte(le-jeb-kaat-ley) type schemes.

I am sure this will increase total revenue + a hassle free viewing of all channels under one pack will try to satisfy your DTH desire and in the end happy customer at one happy price.

when internet can have unlimited pack, mobile phones services can have unlimited talk plans, why can't these DTH operators make one, atleast for a limited time to see prospects on their revenue graph...

One way TRAI can control this robbery is by introducing just one rule. The maximum amount a single channel can charge a customer should be restricted to a limit of 5-10 Rs. If a channel is charging more than this limit, it should be an ad-free channel.

TRAI is as it is taken lightly, this as well as CAS was suppose to be implemented loong ago and the loophole also led to no price cap by which providers are charging as per their wish.

Yes but I agree dat there shud be a price CAP for DTH system as well.

Dish TV channel pricing is worst............leaders always do such pricing as Airtel does in Mobile service.

This is unreal. "pick your pack" - it is only good if every single channel is offered at the price starting from 10p to 1 rs. (not 10, 20, 50 or even 100) per channel. Are indian viewers that crazy that they spend 100rs just to watch a single channels for few hours? We are already so busy earning and sleeping - when will we watch channels at higher cost?Existing bouquet of channels are far better than selecting individual channels!(i guess, these facilities are only good for 1% indians who are just liking to watch 4-5 channels of their choices all the time) This is for crazy people (like crazy for cricket/sports, kids crazy for cartoons, crazy ladies for star/zee, oldies for asthaa, youngsters for mtv/v)Not for normal people who keep changing their tastes and keep surfing lots of channels to find "QUALITY" materials (programs). This is not for us. (Way too costly)

When will we get DSP(DTH Service Providers) portability ?I am unwillingly stuck with Dish TV .
