Is there a separate link to verify mobile number?

We are getting otp , so is the number not verified then?

1. Go to https://resident.uidai.net.in/verify-email-mobile.
2. Enter Aadhar Number, Mobile Number, security code & Click Generate Verification Code.
3. Once you receive the SMS with the verification code, fill in the code at the bottom of the page & click Verify.
Upon successful verification,
4. Go to https://resident.uidai.net.in/biometric-lock
5. Enter Aadhar Number, Security Code & click Generate OTP.
6. Enter OTP in the bottom of the page & click Verify.
7. Now you will be shown the page where you can lock/unlock biometric data.

I wondered the same. But I guess number which was given while applying for Aadhar (or update) remains unverified. (as there can be mistake when filling form or mistake while data entry)

So even if you get OTP - its actually unverified number.

So first you need to verify it and then it allows to lock biometric.

So I stood in JIO mobile SIM line for 1 hour (line was small but stupid fellow took lunch for 30mins so had to wait)

and finally my turn came!!

And GUESS WHAT... it wont accept my fingerprint for e-KYC

Then I realized that may be due to Biometric locking.

I unlocked it but it still wont accept the fingerprint.

They said call any family member with Aadhar card and they will issue on their name.

So called my dad and guess what even his fingerprint was not accepted.(even after biometric unlocking)

Their machine was not faulty as it was detecting other people's fingerprint properly.

Now I am confused where the issue is:

  1. Does biometric unblocking take 2-3 days after unlocking?
  2. Is fingerprint data on aadhar server wrong?
  3. If 2 is yes - how do i get my biometric corrected?
My and dad's finger print were takens in 2011. Was that machine bad that it didnt take proper prints?

Or have our finger prints changed over time?

OT:
How do I get JIO now?? Stupid people says they are not accepting FORM FILLED aadhar for 1 more week. Currently accepting on e-KYC

^ I have two jio sims lying unused. I went to supermarket at evening 7 and beside that degiexpress was there. I went inside and asked for jio sim. The shop was empty. They took eKYC and gave me sim in few mins. Took two sims on same adhaar card. He told me 5 sims can be taken on single adhaar.

A lot of office friends were asking me for SIM on my ID

I don't do this stuff, and the person who got me my SIM said only 1 on per ID at one time.
why would I or anybody give someone his ID for SIM used by another person and in case of JIO its bio-metric verified
so any crime or whatever is going to give the Daani person very hard time in justifying that his ID was used by another person.
