Nope. They will give connections to independent houses as well. Becuase they have Fibre to the X. They can just install a switch and start giving connections.

they can. the point was... what would they focus on during the first few months of launch. societies are easier to catch. especially when you can get into exclusive deal with the rwa blocking entry of all competition out. this is usually not possible in independent houses where you have to deal with competing service providers.

This ! Atleast for a year or two post launch they'll just concentrate on societies. This Expression of interest is just another hoopla to gather public attention and gauge interest at the same level.

With the launch of Jio Giga Fiber, I think it will be slow death for all non-fiber ISPs like Hathway, MTNL, Shit9Online. MTNL has Fiber only on paper.
