Agreed.

I am amazed at how much money Jio continues to spend to provide last-mile connectivity on such tier 3/4 cities and slum areas in tier 1/2 cities. Huge debt from 4g. No income yet from fiber. Yet, no slowdown on expansions.

E-commerce business is on the way too.

@ajgamer

@zerosleeping You can upgrade to VDSL if you're under the 500 meters of the Exchange. You can have somewhere around 16 Mbps - 40 Mbps. The issue of the frequent disconnection in VDSL is resolved by the firmware and all those stuff.

Just make sure the wiring you get from the Blue Box to the Home is one single piece and there is no joint. Not even the DP Box.

I'm afraid I'm at some distance away from their "exchange". The max they can offer me is 24mbps on VDSL.

Their blue box is just outside my apartment and I already have a single wire from the blue box to my home.
My work needs a wired connection to the internet with a lower latency (something that airtel offers) and
am not much concerned about speeds.

I have an "unlimited" (3333Gb) connection running at 8Mbps @ 399/- from airtel currently and
a backup (349/-) connection from BSNL (also 8Mbps). My monthly downloads over both connections
are in the range of 200-300 Gb per month.

Still would love to have a proper fiber connection (local cable) as I have at my Mumbai home here.
JIO hasn't rolled out here yet in Mangalore and airtel has no timeline about fiber coverage.

I have paid advance rental for six months. If I change plan will they deduct the balance from new bill ?

I changed advance rental plan few months back. They added the prorated balance to the account but did not added 18% GST which was deducted. You can call 121 and ask
