Hello! I am getting FTTH connection by the end of the month on my region. As per the AGM I need to pay 500 rupees security deposit and can get my 777rs FTTH plan.
But the thing is that they don't have modem for FTTH connections for sale or rent. I need to purchase that from the market (preferably online).
So suggest me the best available modem for that. Share the link as well.
I already had BSNL broadband ADSL connection from which I use TP-Link TD-W8968 (wifi ADSL modem). Can it be used as just a router after connection from ONT modem only? Also I have an old D-Link 600M router that used for WiMax connection 4-5 years ago.
Thanks!

Hi Doctor,

Do you want voice as well? Then get 1110WDONT - Syrotech (suggesting because I’m using it)
Else get 1000R ONT (no voice and wifi) but you will be able to use the ONT as a bridge.

Hey! Nikhil I don't use telephone for calls, I only use mobile phone for that.
Just needed BSNL FTTH for good speed. Can you give me link to buy 1000R ONT?
What do you mean by ONT as a bridge?

Hey! varkey which one is better among these two you posted? I guess Netlink seems to look better as it is providing 3 years warranty.
For wifi what device can I use with these ONT? TP-Link TD-W8968 (wifi ADSL modem) or D-Link 600M?

@doctorjain , I've the basic netlink ONT mentioned by @varkey above. It does it's job.

Regarding the router, i had a old tplink 8960 i think. So your tplink should also give about 55 mbps max WiFi speed on 2.4 ghz band. So for now it should suffice. Do note it doesn't support 5ghz band.

When upgrading the net plan to a speed higher than 50 Mbps, you may get a dual band 5ghz router. Maybe the below thread is helpful. The older routers can be reused as access points incase you have a large house / one with thick brick walls.
Best Gigabit Router Under Rs. 3000 | Routers - Modems - Dongles

And congrats on upgrading to ftth :)

Thank u !
I know it can be connected through splitter by two core wire,it will be messy to add too much wire from ground to second floor. I wanted it on same lan cable , if any analog telephone adapter (ATA) can sort out this issue??
