So my plans abruptly disappeared, speed went to 1 mbps. I realized the D-Day has come, and wanting better speeds, recharged with a Diamond plan (approx 3k/month).
Waited for a while. Plan did not get activated. Shows in "Upcoming plans". Tried the Jio Help Whatsapp, and you can see the replies above.
Called the CC, and was informed that plans get activated 2 days after recharge ! 🤣
I was like I recharged a couple of hours earlier, and he said yeah, it's tagged to the system, should get activated by day after tomorrow. I.....had no words. Finally asked him if he can activate if from his end. Said no.
Disconnected.

I got better replies from Hathway than this.

Such help, much WOW. 🤣
First time u press 3 you get the wrong message try again.

Don't understand why the world doesn't adopt this (x265) codec throughout everything.. Like yt or some other streaming services. Its far better technology and saves lot of space 🤔.
YT already uses a comparable codec called VP9.
The reason h.265 isn't everywhere is because it is not free to use and requires royalty to be paid to MPEG LA compared to VP9 which is free. Also, there is a successor to VP9 coming soon called AV1 codec and it is again going to bring large improvements over VP9/ h265.

Seriously, what a joke of a service
This is so sad. I really want to stay on fiber but I think Jio will make it hard. Imagine if you have connection drops or speed issues, all they will say is that there is a technical problem, will be resolved by tomorrow and so on without doing anything. The only alternative I have is Airtel Vfiber which provides 40Mbps. Great service but it is hard to roll back after 100 Mbps.
I was talking to a senior Airtel manager a few months back about people ditching them for Jio fiber and he was super confident that Jio would not be be able to provide good service and customers would end up going back to Airtel. I thought it was overconfidence but Jio is proving him right.
