Reliance Jio Wi-Fi Calling (VoWiFi) launched officially

i don,t think so as for wifi calling to work phones send user location data over wifi to operator.

To confirm your circle perhaps? Otherwise it would work outside India?

IP Address, Residential IP Address, IMEI, SIM Details all are with the operator. How can this even apply of what you said? :ROFLMAO:

its just the poor implementation of vowifi.

It was working the way it should have worked first day of launch as I did my testing. But after 2 days, there was another release of Jio (whatever they call to update the firmware). Since then it is not working.

Maybe some marketing thing these two operators are playing. Not sure what it could be.

I am just shooting in the dark but it could be that when we are on VoWiFi it does not capture these details or they have not got this configuration to capture this data yet, hence they are not allowing.

To be honest, none of those can prove that you are physically in India. I could be sitting in US, routing my traffic through my home network in India. They wouldn't want VoWiFi to work in that scenario. Well, atleast not the free version of VoWiFi. I'm pretty sure they'd launch a VoWiFi service which works internationally for a premium.
