@seanbenn just make sure that pole is near or you get full signal on the roof top device. As I said already, the pole was bang opposite to my house and I got full signal. Make sure that there is no object between the Roof top device. Mine is placed at a good height for better reception.

Activation took 1hr 30mins approx. The guy told me 4hrs but it was fast. I made a online payment via Tikona website. Cuz cheque would take 3-4 days more and I did but want to give cash and wanted immediate bb as I was tired of bsnl .. I took 2mbps plan , I get 1.97mbps on speed test, but I don't care cuz my download and streaming videos are quiet smooth.

If you have anything Feel free to ask.
Full signal means it must have 4 indicator light on the outdoor equipment I guess or atleast that's what I heard about the indicator in forums.
How about the ping and upload speed?

Ping varied from 20-40ms with D/L 240-250KB/s and U/L 70-110Kb/s . yes the outdoor CPE will have 4 light indicators.

Do tell me which router you are going to buy/ have already purchased? I purchased TP-Link wr740n , the performance is not that great as it was on first day. Signal drop and disconnection on my WiFi , via Ethernet cable speed is slightly over 2Mbps and no disconnection (surprising).

I was planning on getting the same router as well.Did you check the router for any fault or is it an incompatibility issue since you are getting no problem with directly connecting the Ethernet wire.Maybe some other tikona users might be able to tell us which router is best for it.The router is really important to me as I plan to connect my tab and my smartphone too along with my PC.
BTW Did tikona provide you the ruckus device or the nano station ?

Well asked for a replacement on flipkart. They did not provide and ruckus or nano station, just installed a telenet CPE and gave me a pole, lab and power connecting box which is inside my home . its used to power on the CPE via poe.

The problem was in the Ethernet cable which was connected to my roof top device. The cable not connected to rj45 pin correctly and due to rains and wind it would loosen up. Waiting for engineer to come and solve . make sure u check this also .

Aruraag, I had the same problem with Tikona before i dumped then in.. kept their Nanostation and using it as Access point for my BSNL now.. No matter how many time you get the cable plug corrected.. you will continue to have the issue..
Problem is with technology Tikona uses (this is not wimax.. they use longe range wifi Rocket devices).. it is bound drop singals very frequently and only solution is to restart the device..
good luck..

I check up the nano station. It has full signal, previously I thought the problem is with router. Got it changed. Then problem with poe. Got it fixed. Still net down. Went up and put the Ethernet properly, it working it. 2-3seconds disconnection.

Did you fix the issue yourself or the engineer did it?I think it can become a problem with rains in the coming days.I hope that when they come they do install it properly without baby loose connections.
Do you have to restart the device often or is it working effectively with no restarts?

^No engineers visited. I solved it by myself. Yeah the rains and heavy wind shake the wire. I don't remember about restarting the device. If the issue is at their main server. Then 2-3hrs it will take. You can ask fee waiver for that. If issue is at your end then you have to just check all the wires ate tight( no fee waiver for this issue ).

Engineers will never visit I guess to rectify. They are lazy and customer care tries to solve it from their end if issue in nano station. What I like is the speed. Constant <3. Now my only problem is the login page.

My dad want it to auto login as it was in my bsnl. So finding a solution for it. (iPhone user).
