Broadband Surprises with Airtel (Free upgrades for everyone)

My brother got 2 GB on 15 GB plan. He has Airtel since 5 years. I told him to get a retention plan instead.

Has anyone figured out the math they are using to give these so called Surprises? I don't think its random.

My hunch is that they're giving lot of GBs to customers who have been on high end plans. Customers who have been on expensive plans and provided good revenue to Airtel since long.
 
i am guessing they are just offering what they were loading automatically on accounts of some users. instead of hiding this benefit, they are just making it public.
 
But they never explained the reason for those benefits in the first place. What was the criteria for those benefits?

The least i could figure it out is that no good benefits and surprises are given to customers from Delhi & NCR. Has anyone been given 50 GB or 100 GB living in Delhi NCR? I don't think so.

BTW, next month i am thinking of threatening them again to get 999 8MBps / 7GB plan.
 
almost everyone in Faridabad has got a 50 gb top up.
