Broadband Surprises with Airtel (Free upgrades for everyone)

So I got my broadband "surprise"
2GB extra. On a 175GB 8Mbit plan.
After being a customer of Airtel since 2006
All I want to say is: LOL

You should have upgraded your plan to the new 2499 one (16 Mbps 200 GB @ Rs 2499+taxes), then get the surprise. Too late now.
 
he can change his plan now. through the regular route or call for disconnection and talk to retention team? and then try surprises?
 
i cannot access the broadband surprises faqs page anymore. in any case, he is likely to get a much better deal through the retention department or moving to one of the newer plans.

They aren't offering 16mbit plans where i'm located. Unless they've changed some plans around or something.
 
At the website most of the new plans have speed "upto 16mbps". Each of these plan have 4 variants: with speeds 2/4/8/16mbps. One can get the plan based on feasibility.

I'm pretty far away from the DSLAM as it is, the Airtel Engineers were anyways having a fit giving me 8mbit (I sync with the dslam at 12mbit) so I dont think its feasible to push to the 16mbit plan any which way (although id love the 200gb fup)

Ive emailed 121, lets see what transpires
