59 or 60 republic day?

first of all happy repulbic day to all.Its pity that we wish everyone valentines and friendship day but the most imp event in which our constitution came into force everyone forgets.
anyways isn't 1950-2010=60 yrs then why the hell our govt and media is saying 60 now??.
ndtv is itself confused.

The first Republic day was celebrated on Jan 26 1950. So if you count it today is our 60th Republic day.

Yes, its was 60th republic day. And we should not blame the whole country for a silly mistake. If we blame it we are included in that too, so we are a part of that mistake.Better way pointing out mistakes, we should discuss on how to improve our country?
