About TATA sky One Year free Service....!!

Hi, Yesterday I got shocking information....what happen I tell u full story...yesterday when I watching IND v/s Aus cricket match suddenly no signal message occur on my TV screen, then I checked the signal test in organizer its showing 176 signal strength & 0 signal quality, when I call customer care to launch complain, they said that engineer will came after 2 hours also I asked him that is there any charges to solve complain then he said that we took about 300 to 350 charges to solve one complain, but I said that my Tata Sky is in warranty period then he replies that it will see after checking of tata sky dish.. So I want to ask that TATA SKY said that we r providing One year free warranty on new purchase of Tata sky connection...!! So where is the one year warranty?????

Now that's another shocking case with Tata Sky, there should be some commitee who takes care of such cases.By the way does your problem still exists. I think the problem might have occured due to sudden surge in noise signal masking the satellite signal, due to which signal strength is higher while signal quality is 0. I hope LNB is fine or it may need replacement

warranty i guess is on the hardware... you get a warranty with the car but u still pay for the services..

Now I don't know about car, but I had bought bike and I got first 6 service free (each service about after 2 months), although I had to pay for some changes if any (like engine oil, petrol lock).
Getting back to Tata Sky, I think all hardware including STB, DISH, LNB, Cable should be covered under warranty if it gets damaged within 1 year (Although not sure what do they do if Dish, LNB, cable gets stolen!)

Indian Consumer Complaints Forum Make a complaint here also if not solved.
Read the Guarantee card ( may be in very small letters) They should replace any defective equipment free of charge( visit/transport/technician fees etc )
unless it has been damaged due to causes beyond human control such as Lightning/thunderstorm/Earthquakes/TSunami/typhoon/civil strife etc etc !!!!
Your TV is OK now ? service normal now ?

For my Godrej Refrigerator, Godrej replaced the compressor with NEW one FREE of all charges. ( 9 years old).( now disposed off ) Whirlpool Changed the motor,in the Washing Machine even though it was working. Under Annual Service contracts.

authorized services are free. but if your car has a problem that is not related to the parts covered in the warranty... you pay for them i believe. like a tyre puncture?

It's ok now........when I cleaned my Tata Sky card in Digibox.....& then try...its just like we clean our mobile sim card... It's working fine ..Then I informed who called me (TATA SKY Eng.) that its already working fine.
