found the number in just dial and called Fr. kishor 9538863052, his response was as expected. he was busy and told that he will be calling back. but he didnt. its been more than a month. But when I call now they are not picking the call. after trying more than 10 times one lady picked and rightaway her response was WRONG NUMBER again called. this time was male voice. I asked him, "am i speaking with Kishor" his response was yes. and once I told him that I am Harish here. his response changed to WRONG NUMBER.yesterday I got one more bill for the usage. I am not at using the connection and I dont have the cable at my residence. and they are sending the bill.please let me know if we can form a group and go with legal action.

Update: They came and installed the connection. I handed over the cheque again.Yesterday there was an outage of 3 hours and net was not working that time. I will keep posting the updates and about the quality of service.

hello all,I am going with legal action. let me know if anyone interested to join. as i encored a big loss because of no proper internet, I am going to claim that amount.

Hello all. I too am a user of ACT Broadband. I've been using it since August. The initial payment was taken very quickly ( All companies do it ). And my connection, albeit two days late, was installed and since then I have been, lets say patient with it. I am on the 5mbps 999/- pm plan with a 35 GB FUP. The consistency of connection is my main issue. When working, speeds are always around 5mbps as promised. But since we are dealing with cable here, there have been many instances where the connection does not work at all ( problems mainly being cable getting cut, no power, etc...) Other than that,I really don't have any issues with them. I can sympathize with views of my fellow writers on this topic. I have experienced the same if not worse treatment by other ISPs. In fact I think most of BB users in India have had a similar sort of experience at some point in the past.ACT Broadband is still a baby when it comes to the BB game in India. Having said that, they should have been prepared for any problems that they would/could encounter. ( learn from others mistakes ) .I had a terrible experience with Airtel, a problem that lasted 4 months. I also have a YOU Broadband connection 12mbps 999/- pm 25 GB FUP post which speed reduces to 1mbps, which is excellent value. But on the flipside, I only got that 12 mbps for the first month and since then, numerous disconnections, low speeds, and what not. I feel lucky if I can get even 5mbps speed on it nowadays. All of us here are looking for alternatives to Airtel or BSNL. Company's like ACT and YOU BB are trying to enter a market which has been dominated by the likes of Airtel,BSNL etc for the longest time, by offering higher speeds at a lesser price. The cheaper they are, the worse the service is going to be. These guys take a hammering in the consistency department. Even with a small consumer database, they can't do things right. The only reason I went for a ACT connection was because I was having a torrid time with Airtel ( referring to the same problem I mentioned above ). Unless and until these smaller companies get their affairs in order, we will not be able to do too much about anything Broadband related. Lets hope something is done soon. If not, expect the worse, be patient cause these guys will drive you mad. :pissed-off:Good Luck & God Bless.

I was completely doubtful about ACT Broadband after reading all these posts. It's just because my neighbor was using ACT Broadband and was satisfied with it I opted for 5 Mbps Rs. 999 plan. It's been 2 months now and I have never faced any issues. Their download speed it pretty decent and upload is the most awesome. The best part is i upload a lot and they don't count upload in FUP....to my suprise they have increased the Fup LIMIT of all the plans...earlier 5 Mbps had 35 GB limit now it's 50 GB. so as of now i'm completely satisfied..no company is giving 5 Mbps at rs. 999 with 50 GB fup...airtel sucks big time though their service is ok, damn expensive with lowest download limit..and what to say about BSNL? No words to describe how pathetic their internet is...full of bloody government attitude..tikona, god only save us from them...after using all these three company I feel ACT is relatively better...fastest and cheapest

Another good reason to join ACT is that the FUP is download based only. Uploads are not counted. How great is that. I know so of many users ( including myself ) who would download and then not upload because companies like Airtel combine download and upload for FUP. Maintaining a ratio for member based sites becomes impossible. Nice move by ACT. Keep it up..(y)

Admin, Can we have a Separate forum for ACT Broadband? It's Growing in terms of customers base now.

Ya..it is. after using it for 2 months today i got to know about their new yearly advance rental scheme. call center lady called up and told me about it. now i have paid for 12 months in advance and gonna get 2 months od usage completely free..i must say they have improved a lot...there's also a 6 months advance rental option on which i was getting 1 month free...but at least now i trust them enough to pay for 12 months..in fact i suggested it to my friend too...he paid for 3 months advance rental and got installation free...hope the service continues to remain up to date...the call center number is busy sometimes but i prefer calling the sales guy...so i dont hv to worry at all..he takes care of everything
