Hi, How I wonder many of you even managed to get the connection installed in the first place!
I know a couple of my friends in Koramangala 7th Block who after applying for the connection and waiting for 3 weeks, couldn't get it installed and had to terminate.
Still I was lured by the lower tariff plans of Act compared to other providers and applied for the connection @ koramangala 4th Block (Account Number 310062).
The agent who spoke to me (Girish K) told me that Act connection already exists in houses all around mine and hence I can be completely sure that the connection will be provided in less than 7 days(which is a long wait in itself). It has been more than 15 days now and I called Act customer care 10 times in the mean time and also mailed to the helpdesk and nodal officer but still no response or updates on my installation progress till date!!
Girish now just disconnects my calls!! He was very enthusiastic when I called him before applying and came to my house in less than an hour to collect the money!!!
Frustrated with this and reading the comments posted by other Act users I have decided to finally terminate my connection and apply for Airtel. Wish I listened to my friend's advice and not wasted my time and energy with Act for the past 15 days!
So, if anyone out their is thinking of applying for Act broadband, especially from Koramangala 4th or 7th Blocks, I suggest you think again!

Well I took an ACT Broadband connection last October. Was very happy with the speed and plans. Worked fine for about 3 months and then the problems started. Frequent disconnections and a horrible customer care network. I guess I was spoiled by the top notch Airtel service I was used to for 7 years before getting ACT. I ended up giving a complaint a couple of times every week. And each time I called up the customer care number I would be on hold for 5 mins before getting through. Turnaround time was about 2 days which is not acceptable at all. Finally got fed up and applied for an Airtel connection. They installed in 3 days time and so far the connection has been rock solid.
For those wanting to apply for a new connection please note that ACT has some serious issues : 1) Speed is great when it's working, but be prepared for frequent downtimes 2) There is no toll free number. Like I mentioned, you will have to be on hold for at least 5 mins every time you call CC.
I for one am so glad am back on Airtel. They are more expensive, but the reliability is absolutely amazing. Good riddance to ACT. So much wasted potential!

I am having a 15 Mbps connection from ACT since last 5 months. Since last two days the broad band connection is not working & I had a similar experience about one month back when the connection did not work for one full day. Whenever the broadband connection goes, only God can help you because their telephone lines are not at all accessible & the e mail sent to the id's given in their website get no response. The only option is to hope & pray that they will take necessary action on their own.

My problem has been resolved. My only suggestion to ACT Broad Band is to have the complaint registration system based on e mail instead of telephone call to their Customer Service which is almost impossible to access.

I have got the call from one of ACT fellow talking about the problems I have mentioned, but where is the solution. I am still getting regular disconnections of the internet now and then. If you say talking is the solution and addressing the issue, I don't consider it is. And moreover, in this post though I am taking references of problems I am facing but, in fact I am telling about the weakness and flaws in the system and setup created by ACT. I have already discussed these same points with the person who has called me, where he agreed that these are the flaws and many cannot be rectified as it is how it is designed. He will be taking forward my concerns to the next level but with no guarantee. He also offered to set up one switch box at my premise, where I also commented off with uninsured reliability of the power supply to the box, which is the same case with every individual who is hosting the switch box on behalf of ACT. So again, the purpose of the post is not to get any benefit for myself but is to tell the individuals about the services offered by ACT. Today also since evening I am having no internet connection.

Let down in service from ACT .
I have been using ACT broadband from last 5 months, it was usually good without any problems until recently it just stopped working.
I placed a complaint # 0001003278 on Jun 22nd, till now there is no resolution at all. Called up the customer care plenty of times but they tell me that someone would get in touch with me but till now nothing.
I regret having paid for connection 6 months in advance, this is really not acceptable ACT.My official work depends on internet connectivity and usually work from home most of the times.
Guys please beware before you commit your hard earned money. If you need dependable internet connectivity please think twice before going for ACT!!!!

I just joined the ACT heart burn club here, my connection stopped abruptly on Jun 22, so far no resolution from their end.
Having paid for 6 months connection , i am having loads of regret now.
Got tired calling their customer care services.
People please beware paying up in advance for their services.
