I write again using my backup BSNL connection as my ACT is down for the 3rd time in 1.5 months that I have had this connection. As usual the call center says the time to action is 24 working hours, which means I am without internet for atleast 2 days if at all they can resolve by then. This is pathetic because they claim uninterrupted connectivity in all their advertisements and while selling it to us and then when it goes down, they find reasons to justify the down time.
In any case, I hope the ACT Team can ensure that their technical team sorts out this issue by end of day today as Internet today is a necessity and no longer a luxury and any downtime is unacceptable.
Hi Adarsh,
We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience. We request you to please share your customer ID so that our team can help you in resolving the issue ASAP. We assure you that the issue will get resolved on priority.
Regards,

Hello everyone.
First of all I'd like to thank you guys for your honest reviews.
I've been going over this forum since past week and am seeing mixed opinions.
I want to go in for the 5mbps @ 999 plan.
I stay in Jayanagar 9th block and wanted to know whether ACT provides its services there.
So please do suggest whether I should go for it or not.
If not which other ISP provides the best speed for under 1000 bucks a month.
Please do help me out guys...I'm open to any suggestion.
Thanks
Santosh

I opted for a new ACT broadband connection 24-Jan-2014 which is proving to be a huge mistake.
I live in B.Narayanapura. The sales person (Raghavendra) took me Rs.4016 for the connection and router.
The cable was extended to my building and they fixed the junction box extending power from my house 8 days back. Since then the sales person is saying the same words "The engineer will come today and connect router and activate your account" for the past 7 days. But no one came.
I raised a complaint with ACT customer care (request no. 0001673533) yesterday. They assured someone will give the connection soon. But that seems to be their default response for all the queries. No one came and nothing happened.
Worst of all the sales person simply stopped answering my phone calls.
And the local server is just a 100 ft away from my house
This is the worst possible service and I feel like I am cheated.
If you can't provide the connection, please return my money back and remove your device from my house.
My customer number is 600179.

I have been having problems with ACT since December. The usual story goes like you give a complaint, it gets fixed after 2 or 3 days and works for another 3-4 days and again goes. This has been happening since Nov/Dec. The worst part is the service guy Yogesh at Kodihalli, asks me to be at home at 6-6:30 pm. I come early missing work and he does not show up , neither he answers phone calls.
Today I had enough, decided to quit with ACT, may be go with Airtel. Airtel is good work from home(all my friends say its reliable) ACT is only to download movies I guess.
My acttv id is: 10346068

Thanks for the reviews guys...even a couple of friends of mine rgetting the promised speeds but they complain of frequent technicalissues, incompetent support staff n poor response time

The service engineer came yesterday and made the connection. Got the account activated immediately after the connection was established.
The response was good once the complaint was registered in this forum.
It would be even better if ACT act upon the complaints raised with the customer care.
Thank you.
Regards,
Ponmani
