Frequent ACT Fibernet Disconnections During Power Outages in Chennai - Any Solutions?

Hi everyone,
I'm facing frequent ACT Fibernet disconnections during power outages in my Chennai area. Today was my 2nd complaint in 6 months, and they replaced the battery on the main switch again. I've asked them multiple times to shift the switch to my solar-powered flat for uninterrupted power, but no action yet.

Anyone else having this issue? Any successful solutions?

No solution other than periodic replacement of the backup battery I suppose. Act doesn’t do FTTH, more like FTTP so the last leg is copper which needs an active power source.

Maybe moving to another FTTH ISP might help you, as it’s passively powered so as long as you have power at your house it should work. Provided of course their main office has adequate backup. Airtel or BSNL or Jio or Tata etc if available use fiber till the home.

So if you have a 400Mbps plan, they may shift you to a FTTH setup. One of my friends cabling was replaced, who opted for the 500Mbps plan.

^ACT is giving FTTH to all users in Ghaziabad irrespective of speed. But in Delhi, it is still FTTP and needs this battery system.
