AIIMS News & Updates

They should just have a simple rule for residential as well as commercial purposes - when you make a building you have to provide for as much parking as you would require. Keep the damn streets free for pedestrians.

So if you open a multiplex and expect a seating of 1000, then you should not be allowed to operate until you construct a (multi-level) parking that can fit approximately 350 cars (1000 / 3).

And for residential purposes, if you build a house with 6 flats, you should have a capacity to park 6x3 = 18 cars. Visitors can park outside upto 4 hours - anything more requiring a notification to your RWA (for example you have overnight visitors).

This is IMHO essential for sustained economic growth.

(oh and you can have a cap of Rs. 100 for 2 hrs parking, and within that and let the businesses decide what they want to charge).

Went to Metro Walk (Near Rithala Metro Station) yesterday. Those bastards charged me 25 rupees for parking.

let's hope a pro company manages it. or else we would end up getting crashed/scratched cars...i have not seen any automater parking system yet. except for the one in the movie iRobot.

I used to Park near the Chopras in Nehru Place with those guys who were mentioned earlier in the post. I soon realized what they do with your car. If you are there for a while, they will use your car like a free taxi to transport people from Nehru place to the location of the parking, and guess what they will use your AC while doing so, there will atlest be 6 to 8 people being transported in your car everytime. So I just started parking next to Macdonals where there is a multi level parking, much safer for your car.
