speeds in 3G is user dependent..even it may even come to 384kbps..as simultaneous user gets added up.
NOT like wireline as speed is restricted to a single home user
3G is not a substitute for u r broadband.....for this indian population
so private companies like airtel put a transfer cap....to maintain good speed for all users ..like 750 something

Nope. I checked the speeds at Indira Nagar, Hebbal, RT Nagar, Old Airport Road & Mission Road and all showed around 700 kbps. but now its fine.
Airtel RT Nagar, I have never seen the executives der, always seemed to be surrounded by some 20-30 people. u hv to wait an hour just to talk to dem

Ur right. Bcos, what ever may be the technology, if we assume the total Airtel wireless gateway B/W is 100%, this should be divided equally among all the customers. Obviously, more number of the 3g users will gives less data rates/user.
Now, my worry is at present the 3g customer base less and if it goes high in future then definitely we won't get these speeds (700 kbps) even.
Its the case now in USA, ask AT&T customers

3G bandwidth is very less compared to the subscribers in India, God knows what will happen some time down the line
