OP here, different account.

>>different means
care to share?

Wouldn't want to reveal it on a public forum like this for Airtel to block :)

I just got a new Airtel 'Turbo' connection - 4 mbps speed with a FUP limit of 75GB for 1699 p.m.I tried downloading a torrent today with it, and got download speeds of a miserable 5-15kbps.Further, every time I launch uTorrent, the internet disconnects and I have to close uTorrent to get it back up.Can anyone tell me what the heck is going on?I tested with many different torrents (at least 15+) and all the major torrent clients (BitTorrent, BitComet, uTorrent), and the problem is still the same across the board. Is this some new Airtel policy now? To give crap torrent download speeds? If yes, then did I pay for 75GB of FUP for nothing? Can anyone point me to a possible solution that does not have to involve calling up Airtel CC and getting frustrated. Is there something I can do at my end?P.S.: I'm based out of Delhi.

try it after 10/11pm tonight. airtel throttle torrents during day time.

Really? When did this happen?

I was a happy Airtel user one year back and got very good d/l speeds. All my friends on Airtel don't have this problem either.

Is this something we've been able to deduce through anecdotal evidence, or is it publicly known company policy?
