There was a problem in my modem and i got it changed. Since then i am getting pretty bad download speeds. I checked all settings like port forwarding etc, i am using all settings correctly. Can some good SOUL throw some light on this?

as mentioned longback airtel is throttling speeds in torrents

when i called they said
"speed on torrents cant be assured by us only on direct download we can assure the speed, if you face any reduction in direct dl speed inform us":x

you ppl can use torrific.com for downloading from public trakers but no alternative option for private trackers

if i restart modem several times i get full speed and night i get full speeds even in torrents

You have been throttled..

I got throttled today as well

Someone really needs to come up with a nice acronym for throttled, like F.U.P

Myself in NCR facing same problems .Do they really have rights to play with users bandwidth no matter if its torrent, if user has enough usage limit left, for what he is paying.I cannot download legal torrents as well of Ubuntu, fedora and Vmware this is ridicules and we must file a pitition in consumer courtif they think they can do whatever they want.:curse:Myself share lot of data through private torrents because it is convenient rather uploading and then downloading by others, taking 2x the time conventionally whereas with torrent it takes half the time in transmission of data simultaneously:solid:
