Hey,Is Airtel blocking any torrent ports or reducing torrent speeds during the day? It seems after 10am today my speed reduced to a pulp of probably nothing more than 256kbps. However, my other downloads are touching the limits they are suppose to, i.e. over 100KBps.

Haha. Anyway, it might be on my specific plan, I am not sure. I am also using their IPTV with the 1mbps plan, it's the combo plan.

Definitely not on ur plan only. Its on all plans. U'll be able to find many posts relating to this topic on the forum...just search. U wont have to look too hard coz a lot of people here are fed up of Airtel so many posts.

Yeah its on all plans .. they r capping the speed in morning ..Don't know y TRAI don't take any action against them .. When I am paying them 2099 for 150GB data at 4mbps then it shouldn't matter wht medium I use ... I should get the full speed till the data I am paying for ..I am just waiting for some alternative so tht I can kick Airtel out ...

Is it capped for all plans and on all regions? I am thinking of taking a new Airtel connection, but would not do so if they throttle speed. And why do they do that, since they already have FuP this makes no sense.

They do it cos they r Airtel .. They cap the speed for every plan and every region.. Don't ever go for airtel .. Better use some 3G stick or some other provider ..
