Airtel Broadband blocking torrents and file sharing services

this is for airtel broadband users only. airtel replied to me that they are able to open geekculture.com at their end. they tell me that something is messed up at my end. kindly post if you can open this domain on your airtel broadband connection. if not, post the tracert.

You can bypass speed throttling by using a VPN service. I do, and I get the 4mbps speeds (and above) on torrents, but for the most part I don't use VPN to torrent, I use other alternative solutions. Secondly, using a chinese client called Thunder helps sometimes in downloading torrents. Also, if you have access to linux (or cygwin for windows) it's possible to bypass throttling using 'wget'. These are some alternatives.
