Airtel Broadband Double Speed for Rs. 100 Offer

I told whoever missed that offer in Jan, send "SPEED" to 53636.
Same offer will be activated on ur landline.

Actually i did, and sent the SMS also before i posted my problem here. Thanks for sharing the info. I am the one who opened this thread and didn't get the offer yet

i had sms'ed delight..but nothing happened now i have sms'ed speed and registered through the web link as well..waiting to see how they respond this time..i wouldn't be too pissed off even if they dont increase my speed in reponse to the SMS..coz i know that an upgrade is coming in a shortwhile i.e. as soon as MTNL delhi implements the mumbai double speed offer, Airtel will be compelled to do it as well

the cc ppl told its for all plans which got uniform speed throughout the day

i was in 1299 plan so i requested to change into 1099 plan

i decided to go for double speed offer

lets see how things happens fingers crossed!!!

I don't get this. The Turbo 1299 and Swift 1099 plans do not have uniform speed for 24 hours. Both plans offer 512 Kbps during the day and 1 Mbps during the night. So, you're trying to say that this 2X speed offer is applicable to 'Swift 1099' tariff plan even though this plan does not have uniform speed throughout 24 hours?

I too applied for the SPEED via SMS got an automated SMS reply that should get it in the next 7 days, BTW they airtel has officially launched new broadband plans for AP just got an email.

Swift 1099 does have uniform speed, its 512 kbps during both day and night

I changed my plan through email to Swift 1099 and it got upgraded within a day, that too before i got a call from Airtel asking me whether the plan should be activated right away or at the next billing cycle. I told her its already been activated, and she puts me on hold and then disconnects! Anyway the reply in the email said that the double speed will be activated by 23rd Feb. Lets wait and watch.EDIT: I am already getting around 700 kbps already!

just a thought... is airtel getting all of us people on a FUP plan by luring them into double speeds for just Rs. 100? your old plan might not come under FUP because FUP was announced after you got that plan. but the upgraded speeds are covered by their FUP policies?

I guess admin that is the case, coz all the new unlimited plans recently announced have very stringent FUP limits.
