i am pretty careful when i change plans.... because once you switch plans, you agree to a brand new sets of rules and regulations.

My old Explorer plan had a 75GB FUP, while the Swift has 100GB FUP. I double checked and got it in writing through email.I didn't really use the 1MBPS at night offer in the Explorer plan as i surf throughout the day and rarely download at night. So even if the double bandwidth is not activated i don't mind as long as i can stream Youtube without pausing.

this would become an issue for users who did not get FUPed on their original plans... the new plans definitely has FUPs as mentioned on the offer page. did you get FUPed after data transfers of 75GB?

Yeah i did get FUP'ed the first month that i got the tariff, and i had downloaded 24x7 just to test it.

I still haven't got a response or a call. It did say within 7 working days though. Lets hope!

Airtel has never screwed with me and are nice to me. Maybe its the local people here that do everything good to me, i have no issues to most of their policies.

Hmm, so similarly, like with the 2 Mbps UL plan, you can get 1 Mbps UL by taking Swift 1099 + the Rs. 100 top up. Am I right?

I don't think all users could do that, it seems its only for those who have gotten the offer through e-mail.

I disagree with you. Me too got a email(yesterday-that's how i came to know about this offer, my bad) regarding the offer but when i enquired thru email & telephone they said i might get that offer but not for sure......

Swift 1099 does have uniform speed, its 512 kbps during both day and night

The details of the new 'Swift 1099' tariff plan are as follows:

This new tariff plan is available atleast for Pune. No idea about other cities/states. I've confirmed this with Customer Care.
