"a small number of users" are those who use more than a mere 10-13% of data usage.

Yup! many users dont download even 10% of data usage. even i am one :ashamed:

p.s - i am not supporting airtel's policy.

son of a b**** - airtel how do these isp's earn? they charge such heavy rentals for unltd plans & then throttle their speeds for people with data transfer limit i would love to see what would happen to airtel if all the people with unltd packages left it. & they were to earn from the data transfer packs. would love to see their revenues drop

if only a small number of users are doing it, why are you so scared suddenly?

it is not point of how much each customers data usage is but is 10-13% a fair usage level to rap the customer with 50% reduction in speed.?? is it generous as Airtel claims??mind u customers are paying a premium for unlimited service.

and customers are paying a super premium fee for 1mbps ul.i have asked them a simple question. why would i go for a 1 mbps UL plan if i have no plans to use it to its full potential?what the hell would i do with 1mbps if i can only do a 50GB data transfer which is what they claim is fair usage on this plan.

I just checked Airtel website. Where have all the plans gone? Are they planning to discontinue all the plans?I see only 3 plans for MH circle: - Value Combo 550- Value Combo 1599- One Airtel 999What the hell is going on? :O

heh. airtel site has been under a lot of stress these days. a lot of changes are being made.plans are appearing and disappearing. AFUP appears and then disappears and then appears again. at least they have now uploaded a PDF file with this new 'policy' which makes their case official.
