I feel by now they must have prepared & circulated a draft of this letter, with date & personal details to be filled later, as the usage of this letter must have gone really high these days. So many peoples are kicking them out that these days, in some days there CCEs will have only one job left(filling the details in this type of draft) if they soon doesn't come up with better FUPs.

Their executives might be really happy by saving those 50-100 gbs (i.e. by lowering the limits from 100-200 Gb) which some 2-5 % of users might have downloaded, but they clearly doesn't understand the power of social media as marketing(good/bad). Not only that they are loosing the existing customer base but most of all they are loosing their prospective customers too heavily.

yeah should be Ready With Drafts!:P

what should i do with comments like these? hard to approve them because of the offensive nature of the text.

Start a new blog name www.airtelsucks.com (not taken yet) .... install vbulletin (create weird forums like "Airtel Ass**le customers" etc) or install wordpress ...... invite people to post messages as offensive as they can .... award the most offensive customers with a free airtel connection ....
and ya dnt forget to keep ur adsense ads away... (or they google will ban u :) )

buy a domain like that and you are going to get sued by airtel.

of course, it might be considered fair usage in the usa. here in india, your parents would smack your ass as soon as you get a court notice at your place.

btw. airtelsucks.com is already owned by someone. Airtelsucks.com - Airtel Sucks

the user detail is private.

Update:So, I just got a call-back from the famous 'abts retention dept.' and the gal first of all listened to everything I had to say. She then offered me the good old 'Turbo 1299' plan which gives 512 Kbps during the day and 1 Mbps during the night. Absolutely no FUP during day and/or night time. This plan comes with some free talktime, SOD and some other useless crap like 'PC Secure'. I asked her just one ques. - "Why would I wanna pay airtel 1299 + taxes per month for 512 Kbps day / 1 Mbps night when I can get Reliance 1 Mbps 24*7 @ 1099 INR?" - I refused to pay 1299 INR per month. The other plan I was offered was the good old 'Explorer 1099' which gives 384 Kbps during the day and 1 Mbps during the night. Absolutely no FUP during day and/or night time. No free talktime. This is a good plan but 384 Kbps is now too slow even for browsing. I refused. Finally she asked to put me on hold for a couple of mins. and came back with a better plan...Lastly, I was offered the same "Explorer 1099" plan but with slightly different speed. 512 Kbps during the day (6AM-10PM) and 1 Mbps during the night (10PM-6AM) for 1099 INR + taxes per month. Absolutely no FUP during day and/or night time. This one sounded much more reasonable than the earlier two offers so I agreed and requested her to change my current FUP'ed tariff plan to this one. :DBtw, at my place I get 80 KBps if it's called '512 Kbps' and 140 KBps if it's called '1 Mbps'. 80 KBps UL is enough for my browsing needs while 140 KBps UL is enough for my downloading needs.I got a confirmation call and a service request no. for tariff plan migration couple of mins. later. This rep also confirmed the above mentioned speed and the NO FUP clause.@OP (formfollowsfunction): Sorry for hijacking your thread but our problems were very similar (rather almost same!) so I just posted in this thread instead of creating a new one! :P

Why no call from retention dept. for a 6+ years customer like me? It seems i'm unlucky

What do you mean by no call? You must have received a call from their retention dept. They don't disconnect just like that! Were you adamant on what you wanted?

Is that retention dept. call? I dont know....But they do called me....Offering 512 kbps till 5 GB & 256 kbps thereafter for Rs.499 with 200 free voice calls. I insisted that i dont want a 256 kbps at all ever. They didn't gave me other choice & accepted my line disconnection...
