Update: The so-called retention plan lasted only 4 days. I got 1 Mbps for the last 4 days and now it's again back to 512 Kbps day/night. :rofl:I really dunno what to say. I'm done with airtel. :)

Update: Yesterday, I finally disconnected my airtel broadband connection. :)I'm gonna go for Reliance broadband but I need some reviews before I do that...

Last week i went to BSNL exchange to get the broadband app.form. On my way back saw a Reliance ad with unlimited broadband on it. Enquired the contact no. & the rep told there is feasibility in my area & collected a check for Rs.500. It has been a week & he always attends the call by giving false promises. Today he has given his phone to someone to attend it....wwwuuufffff....that's my story...should've gone to BSNL without second thought...

So Airtel took 15 days to email me my broadband plan(from [email protected]) which also contained my FUP details. Hilariously enough they sent me the plan which I had gotten into in March 2010 which still showed my FUP limit to 100GB. So I called up Airtel telephone customer care asking my FUP limits - they said it's 25 GB. I said I have it in writing from Airtel that it's 100 GB. They said hold on - they came back after 5 mins and said that we are also looking at the email sent to you and it says 25 GB. I said "you told me in the past that you don't have email access" and they said since you asked for email, we were looking at email.

These people are cheats, liars and fraudsters apart from plain dumb idiots. Anyways - I have asked for my disconnection and so far no calls for retention :) don't care!

As someone on Twitter posted and I agree - STAY AWAY FROM AIRTEL FRAUDBAND!! Unless ofcourse you like giving money to fraudsters, cheats and liars who screw you over and over and over (times infinity) :)

MTNL seems fine so far, can't get through at times while the ADSL light still shows connected - works fine with a modem restart - working on getting this resolved. I can live with this very easily.

One of my friend had opted for cancellation of his Airtel BB Impatience 799 service. He is offered 512Kbps till 5GB and 256Kbps later for 499Rs with 20% discount for 3 months. Now i am forcing him to cancel Airtel and i have offered him my router if he opts to move out of Airtel :thumb:I am moving out of Airtel DTH as soon as balance hits negative in some 2 months time. Also planning to move from Airtel 3G to BSNL 3G
