There are many people at least in the metro cities, for whom 2222 is not very expensive and would be spending that amount on a single night out. So if I was one of them and wanted good speeds, then no problem. Would pay it. But as it is 1499 is turning out to be a little expensive for me. But as Sushubh said, if it was 1999 I just might have given in as well!!!
@frnds try to understand one thing tat everything when introduced will be some what high and after few days they will surely drop the low speed plans and then they would give the higher speed plans for the same price so its just an beginning and wait for sometime and surely the UL-1Mbps plan rates would be reduced:thumbsup:

Well I'm sure the rates for 1 mbps plan will be reduced...but the question is when? We've been waiting for almost 3 years now for the rates for 256 kbps plan to reduce...so if it's gonna be a waiting period like this one....ummm...not a very inspiring thought...
I hope MTNL learns some lesson from this and launches even 512K unlimited for under 1k.That would be gr8.IMO the price is a bit on the higher side and should be reduced to 1.5K or something around that.
MTNL is shit , i don't expect anything from them . It will be great to see Tata reducing prices for 1 Mbps UL package again since they had the cheapest 1 Mbps pack before this and they are making moves recently by making Night UL plan available again .
Well i am not speaking out of my ass here . I know better than you what people call TATA and what not . I have MTNL/Tata/Sify all lines at different places , most people if they dont get line problems then tata has quallity bandwith compared to others while mtnl itself uses vsnl/reliance bandwith .
