Airtel Broadband now has special plans in Chennai because of ACT Broadband

I am using 40GB FUP at 4 Mbps, post FUP 512 Kbps for 1099 rupees. Also 1000 local minutes free. BTW I am in Chennai.
 
I received a call few minutes ago offering to upgrade me to 8mbps 100gb 1499 with all local & STD calls to any network free.. Accepted it. Missed asking if there is any FUP in calls (like 5000 mins) . Planning to also call and see if can get an extension for the landline, so that others in the house can take advantage of the free calls...
 
I am not even sure I know what it is. Any link with details & some device recommendation?

Thing is, I am on 1st floor. Plannng to have extension in my dad's room on ground floor. So what I can get with the above solution ...
 
Wired is probably a better solution. DECT 6.0 cordless phones uses a different frequency than wireless routers and hence perform well you have wi-fi in your home. I got one for my dad. Though for multi-floor solution, getting wiring extended would be a cheaper solution than buying multiple Dect 6.0 devices.
 
Frankly, I would not even mind if they even simply move the phone to the ground floor & just the internet to the first :D
 
that can be done of course. but if not done properly, you are going to end up with issues on both the sides. splitter needs to be connected properly. just file a request with them and the linesman would do it for you. wiring is free on airtel iirc.
 
So this is not exclusively for premium customers?. If they give a better plan by demand they usually heed to the same if the subscriber is a customer for several years.
