you want airtel to meet your high standards of service. which of course they really have no plans to meet. simply because there is no freaking competition in the broadband market.

NO! I just want them to let me retain the plan that I opted for (my existing plan for over 2 years, even at a higher cost if they choose to charge me more, which I am willing to PAY for) because they have technical constraints in upgrading me.

So you don't get it either.

here is something that you are not understanding. they have discontinued old plans. as a service provider they retain the right to discontinue old plans. TRAI has no policy that states that an ISP cannot discontinue their existing plans. the only policy is know is that the customer needs to be told six months earlier about discontinuation. i am not even sure that it is a hard rule or just a recommendation. if you want to use this as a complain, go to a customer court and challenge airtel that they did not inform you in time about the discontinuation of the older plan.

as for the discontinued plan... what are they expected to do? they did what they decided to do... they moved you to a new plan. maybe they did not inform you about this switch either. again... you can probably take them to consumer court for the same. nothing more.

since old plans are discontinued, they moved you to a new plan. it is your decision whether you are happy with the new plan or not. if you are not, discontinue the service. if you like some other plan get it.

now you say that they cannot give you the plan you want because their network in your region is not up to the standard... you have no choice but to choose a plan that can be provided to you. that's how it is. either you can accept it and move on. or you can keep cribbing about it and mock us for not getting your problem.

What I dont understand is why the OP is not getting the 150GB 2mbps plan...

Thats the lowest speed plan available so Airtel denying it on technical feasibility seems weird

Again . .OP is not getting this plan coz airtel discontinued it! Yes , they have the right to discontinue it!

They discontinued it and moved the OP to another plan and since maybe they haven't told the OP abt new plans , they are saying we cannot provide the old plan speeds due to technical feasibility!

Again repeating-- Airtel discontinued old plans. They have the right to do so. If you want payback . file a complaint in consumer court and stop using Airtel.

ya denying a 2mbps plan on technical feasibility is wierd. If they offer the plan in that circle, then it should be given to OP.

Nope, thats a current plan, I'm not talking about the discontinued plan

2mbps 150GB is Airtels current plan with the highest amount of data transfer for a sane price

ok . i got your point. So did some research and this is what i got.

Airtel discontinued your 2mbps 150GB plan( If your in Delhi NCR region)

but this plan is still available at my place (Hyderabad,AP)

Apparently only speed you can get 150GB is in plan with 4mbps at delhi. Since they cannot provide 4mbps at your place . .they simply moved you to 2mbps 30GB plan.

Since this plan is good. . many people would have opted it so airte l simply discountinued it.
Again theres nothing you can do except file a complaint a complaint and discontinue your airtel broadband

2mbps till 150GB is available in ghaziabad (NCR) :argue:i think he wants the old plan as Airtel cant upgrade him to the new plan either.

2mbps till 150GB is available in ghaziabad (NCR) :argue:
Am talking abt Delhi ( NCR)

As you can see. .the 150GB plan speed has been changed to 4mbps

Actually I had this situation where the plan was only available for 4mbps (1799) which was not technically feasible. They provided me the same plan with 2mbps speed but same price. If you call 2-3 times to CC, each one will tell a different policy.
