If 16 Mbps is feasible in your area, then you don't have to pay any extra money for 16 Mbps. New tariff plans are not based on speed but Data limit.

Call Nodal Office/Appellate authority to ask for explanation why CC is asking for 200 Rs additional to upgrade your speed from 8 Mbps to 16 Mbps. 1399 Plan should give you 16 Mbps/25 GB if 16 Mbps is feasible in your area. Its as simple as that.

CC told me i would get 16 Mbps on 1399 plan when i asked them last month. But i am on much better retention plan so i didn't take normal 1399 plan.

I'll try calling the Nodal Office. What retention plan do you have?

I tweeted them and got a call back from customer service team and I explained everything. They agreed to give me 16 Mbps on my current plan as it is feasible at my location. Lets see how long it shall take to switch.

SNR Margin: 23.0 14.4 db
Line Attenuation: 10.2 5.5 db
Data Rate: 10239 868 kbps
Attainable Rate: 24112 1222 kbps
Out Power: 16.8 6.9 dbm

Looks like I should be getting 16 Mbps?
They need to change your date rate which is 10000 now to around 19000 and you will get 16mbps.

Am i right ?
