Airtel Giving 3G trial.

Artel 3G is here ! Enjoy internet at 3G speeds on your current data pack for a ltd. period. Post free MB use rate 30p/20 kb. SMS 2G to 121 to choose plan/opt out.

I deactivated only 2G mode on my mobile and voila ! I was getting HSPDA connection . speed 1.5-2 mbps.

Note : Current data pack implies the data-card recharge (example Rs. 98 for 2GB). It's not free rather the balance would be deducted from the remaining MBs if someone has recharged with a data card.

I have an Airtel Sim (Mumbai Circle) without a data pack activated. What do you suggest me to do in order to use a 2G data pack on 3G network?

^^ I have no clue whether Airtel Mumbai is giving 3G for trial or not. Go for it ONLY if you receive an SMS regarding the same.

I received a text from Airtel stating your 3G trial will end tonight (dated 18-7-2011) but I am still getting 3G speeds. And today I am getting 4.5 mbps

Me too got the SMS saying "your 3G trial will end tonight". But still i am on 3G with 2G data plan (Rs 98). I am in Corporate Postpaid plan Chennai.
