Airtel IPTV Launched

@goku35, They are providing Rs.350/- worth of tv channels(includes Rs.77/- NCF) complimentary with every fiber/airfiber service (Rs.699/-plan onwards). TV service in iptv is smooth like dth, but jiotv+ is pathetic for Hotstar, zee & sun channels.

I have a quick question: how will they send me the itemised bill if I choose their 1599 rs plan with IPTV? I am asking because I am submitting it for reimbursement at my employer, and they will not cover DTH/IPTV if the bill includes a payment towards them.

Currently I am on the 1499 plan.

here is a small review of the Airtel IPTV box. Requested for new connection on 21 March and on same day installation guy came along with the Airtel Digital box. They took away my old Nokia router (old connection) and requested me to drop mail for cancellation of the old connection and now they have installed a new router of brand DZS (model H660GM-A) took approximately 15 min for new connection activation along with iptv. Airtel Digital Box (IPTV box) is connected wirelessly so you don't need to connect a physical internet cable to the box.IPTV works flawlessly without any issues and no buffering issues have been observed so far.

Yes, you can opt for another connection only the point is you can't get IPTV in the old connection like there is no upgrade option. you can get another connection in your name as well. I have 3 connections in my name.

I took black plan on 19th Feb 2025, got IPTV box with it. Even though me and my family have completely shifted to OTT apps, I got this box just out of curiosity. Tested it for few days but yet to find anything groundbreaking in terms of picture quality in comparison to streaming.

I don't understand airtel's fascination for not providing existing clients with iptv boxes. Why the hoopla over surrendering the old connection and getting a new one? Wouldn't it be much easier to shift the existing clients to the airtel black plans and provide them with the iptv box? Why increase their internal paperwork - look for refunds etc.

Total morons of the highest order!

Existing Airtel Wi-Fi customers can upgrade their plan to IPTV plans through Airtel thanks app or visit any Airtel store.

I guess it's not worth highlighting that it consumes internet data which makes it a streaming service and not an IPTV service.
