Airtel modem on BSNL Broadband

Hi Team,

I have an update on this, if type1 modem is used, then I dont have the modem configuration settings screen, in a way if the type3 modem is used then I can have the modem configuration screen using http://192.168.1.1/phtml/pMain.html. This is how I can change the settings.

In the same way if the Airtel modem is used ? I just have "Page cannot Displayed"..So, there is no way to change the VCI settings using Airtel modem. Still beating round the bush . . . . Pls team Help me how to make use of Yozan airtel modem to BSNL dataone connection. Steps to resolve please.

Now type it in your IE address bar
Do you get a window opening the modem ?

Mention model and make of AIRTEL modem.

?Using IP page cannot dispay, but as I said above its working with type3 modem but not with type1 and Airtel modem.

Airtel Modem is of: Airtel Broadband ADSL modem, which says Web Distributor II, YOZAN secured Wireless, imported by BHARTI TELETECH LTD. Whcih has LINK, LAN, DC IN, ON/OFF.

1.Please mention type 1 modem make/model/manufacturer.
It can be anything.
Type I , II, III ,IV listing is used ONLY by BSNL
and
BSNL BROADBAND MAIN MENU

all modems have some NAME like us!

From what you reported it could be Huawei AX mt882 modem.

2. If you are connected to Internet with any Modem dis connect it.
Connect Airtel
Web Distributor II, YOZAN secured Wireless
Connect it to computer.

You can power"ON" the "YOZNAN" and press the reset switch
( Usually in the back) for about 20 or 30 seconds, to restore
the modem to factory settings.
IP can be 192.168.1.1
user ID admin Password admin or password.

4. Start Network LAN
Properties
TCP/IP
Properties
type
obtain IP address automatically.
Apply Save.

5. Now Start RUN type cmd
type ipconfig /all
You should get
192.168.1.X ( If you get 169.xx.xx.xx see below 6 )
255.255.255. 0
192.168.x.x ====>>> Now this is the gateway for Yoznan.

6. In Same IP page
type 192.168.1.10
255.255.255.0
192.168.1.1
Apply SAVE.

I Just saw it as soon as you posted it. However, essbebe you got it right the BSNL type1 is of Huawei AX MT882, Type3 is of MT841.

2-3. I did exactly what you said in step-2, perfect it did worked out, I see Web Distributor Conf page, It just came up with out prompting for the User Id and Password.

4. Its all done and is already set to obtain IP address automatically.

5. I have this Ipconfig screen.

I performed Restart option by pressing the Restart button under the System tree.

I just dont know what to do next, its like Greek and Latin to me, pls tell me what all the setting and changes to be made or done to this to make it work...Pls do post me the steps and tell me what esle you need.

Type user Name abcd without @ bsnl.in

Hi Essbebe and Sachins, thanks for the response..However, essbebe, I tried all the steps that you had mentioned and still I have some problem connecting to internet..I am posting all the screen shots that are available.

I tried with PAP and CHAP,LLC ->on, tried with username as @bsnl.in and with out bsnl.in.." What ever I do I cant get rid of this PPPoE Failure..]

Steps I followed, First I reset the modem to the factory default, then I went in to the "WAN Connections" and deleted the default Airtel one and I created the new one by selecting the PPPOE Routed and Entered the Description as Bsnl and PPPOE Auto Connect -> Enabled, left the WAN IP default, Checked Enable NAT, LLC -> ON, Tried with both PAP and CHAP, Used User ID as @bsnl.in and with out bsnl.in, saved and restart. What ever I do I cant change the Login Type as PPPOE Login, if I select this and apply its comming up with the failure message..

--> Deleted the Default.

After Deleting

Created the new PPPOE connection as you said and save the changes. [Save Screen] nogo

So Edited this to make more changes.

After a Click on Edit

PPPOE Edit, tried with user name with @bsnl.in and with out bsnl.in




ATM EDit


IP EDIT

Still Lot more EDits






IP routed, If Delete is check and click Apply, after saving changes, its comming back again, what to do, I dont know what is IP route, but I just want to try different options to make it work.






What is DNS and What Should I do here..

Should this be enabled or disabled
