Is there any valid video proofs to validate these claims. I haven't seen a single YouTube video or article or blog that test these claims on a crowded area that is usually get crowded only few days a year (eg: temple festivals), so the towers can't handle the extra traffic. All they need 2 same mobiles one is prepaid and other is postpaid to live test call quality, speed test etc in these places

I have also observed this myself on Airtel postpaid. network experience is much better in crowded areas where prepaid struggles to work but data on postpaid works fine. In case of Jio, there is no such difference. Have not tried Vi postpaid so don't know.

1. Priority Signal (The "VIP Lane")

Airtel uses a system called Priority 4G/5G Network for its Platinum postpaid users. Think of a highway during rush hour:

Prepaid: Everyone is in the general lanes. When it gets crowded (like in a stadium or a busy market), the speed drops for everyone.

Postpaid: You are in the "VIP/Express Lane." Airtel’s software identifies your SIM as a postpaid account and gives you priority access to the available bandwidth. Even when the tower is congested, you get the "first bite" of the data.

2. Network Slicing

With the rollout of 5G, Airtel uses a technology called Network Slicing. They can virtually "slice" the network to provide dedicated bandwidth for specific high-value users. Postpaid plans (especially the Platinum ones) are often placed on a slice that is optimized for higher speeds and lower latency.

3. Higher Throttling Limits

In the telecom world, there is a concept called "Throttling" and "Deprioritization."

Prepaid: If the network is very busy, prepaid users are the first to have their speeds "deprioritized" to ensure the network doesn't crash.

Postpaid: Postpaid users have much higher thresholds. You only face slowdowns in extreme cases because you pay a premium for "uninterrupted" service.

Dude. Stop using AI for literally EVERYTHING! Airtel and Vi has stopped network prioritization for postpaid customers agter TRAI objected way yyy back in 2020! Same goes for 5G slicing! Same for point 3! Point 1 and 3 basically means the. Same thing! Stop it!

I dont think this is true.. Please dont fall for this scam :( as like i did.

In my home i dont get airtel network at all(Whitefield, Bangalore) and based on this kind of posts, I converted all my family numbers(total 5) to Airtel Black connection by including my existing 200 Mbps ftth plan. Not even 1% increase in the network quality, it was shit as like it was in prepaid. Almost 1.5 years in postpaid/black, raised multiple complaints, they dont even care to visit the location and keep closing the complaint saying its resolved.

Finally dismantled black, and converted to Jio postpaid for 4 numbers and one ported to Vi prepaid. In my place Jio is bit better, but Vi also similar to Airtel.

The surprise thing from Vi was, when i complained about network issue, with in 24 hours someone was at my place and measuring all the network signals, both indoor and outdoor. He mentioned about the nearest tower was shutdown and if more subscribers are in this area, they will switch on back! Later after few days they sent me message something like, "we acknowledge the problem, but unfortunately at this moment we were not able to resolve it, but we will keep improving our service". This was not surprise or unexpected from Vi when giant like Airtel itself does not bother to resolve the complaints, how on the earth we can expect the resolution from Vi is almost verge of collapsing.

I have seen the opposite (not at crowed location but at home and normal public places)
Airtel postpaid on iPhone 15 pro and Airtel prepaid on Iphone 13 Mini
Running speed test and fast.com - speed on prepaid always show higher as compared to postpaid.
