@Adidam I would suggest the same as others did in this thread. If the frequent link drop still persists, I'd advice you to escalate the issue to nodal officer.

Yes, you can change the DNS on your new router:

@manojrk Thank you for the input. I request if you could check the stats/settings if something is required from that end too?

I did complaint for the ADSL like 100 times butt there was no hearing at nodal/applette level as well because the local team is stupid.

Yeah, I've been there. Unfortunately you cannot do anything from your side to improve link stability.

I didn't change any settings. Mine was fixed by changing the old wires.

@manojrk Talking
about wire thing. Did they change wire coming from DP to Home or Exchange to DP?

Also, did they change port of your connection on exchange tag, blue box tag, dp tag?

Is there any joint in your wire?

Are you using splitter and landline with your vdsl connection?

Exchange to DP cables are UG. Only the cable from DP to my home was changed. The ports were unchanged and there are no Joints. My Panasonic cordless went kaput recently so I'm not using landline atm. No splitter.

I enabled G.INP just to see what happens?
Ping got lowest (5), Speeds got maxed out (41 and 1 3 ).
But too many disconnections.

No disconnections, since I disabled it as it was by default.
Ping back to 25.

@wecaz I have noticed the same. Though G.INP increased disconnections and disabling it reduced.

Which modem do you have?

G.INP is a cheap Steroid for VDSL modems. Not worth it.

I got Beetel 777VR1.
- Variable speed on WiFi.
- Stable speed on Ethernet.
- Higher chances of disconnections on high bandwidth usage.
