I was having high latency on the Ethernet ports of the Beetel 777VR1. Pings to the router would suddenly slow down to 1000ms, and only a reboot would fix it. Sent in a mail giving them feedback for future firmware updates. For some reason they misinterpreted it and sent the Airtel line engineer to have a look. He said he'd get me a different router, so I asked for the Huawei. He said the Huawei has been stopped because of weak WiFi, but he said he'll try getting me something else. He got me a Binatone DT910W. Unfortunately this looks like its using the same Realtek(?) platform as the Beetel. Even the router GUI is identical. No improvement in line stats either, in fact it has become a bit worse. But at least I'm no longer having issues with Ethernet port latency.

Or did they say something like "We don't have 40mbps available in your area rightnow. So, we're changing your plan to 16mbps"
If not, then just contact 121 and file a complaint

technician guy said only 16 available right now .
i asked that sales guy that 40 available or not (5 times ) and he said yes it is
even my bill says its 40 mbps zoom 1999 plan
i got my net 2 hrs ago say mabye they upgrading. idk

When i got beetel modem its firmware version was V01.00.05_2_Test3, i suppose its latest already. And it was disconnecting very often.
When i complained to cc, the installation guy called back and said he will send me email of latest firmware.
He did send the email but its firmware version was same as the one of my modem i.e 777VR1_V01.00.05_2_Test3..img. So i did not installed it. And kept using the same way for one weak with disconnections.
But 3 days ago i said lets try that firmware given by the guy even if its same, and i instlalled it. And to my surprise its not disconnecting anymore. Hardly once in a day.
I am not sure how is it different even though it says same version number. But i am glad i got rid of disconnections finally.
If anybody need that firmware, lemme know.
