I have the Binatone modem. Disconnects every hour. Any solutions?

Just upgraded today. I already hate this.

@morecrap According to @Crazy_Eddy the Binatone modem uses the same Realtek platform as beetel. So, there is no permanent fix for these modems I guess. Contact 121 and ask them to get your replaced with a Huawei as soon as possible or just buy a VDSL modem online and return this modem to airtel. I'm pretty sure they will take it back since it has no fixes and won't charge you for it.

I'm using a beetel modem currently.. I have the same issue as you. They're gonna get my beetel modem replaced with a Huawei modem this week.

Looks like my Huawei modem has conked off. I restarted it and it's not powering on.The power light is on but the DSL light is not turning on. Nor the wifi lights. Raised a request on airtel. Let's see what happens. First time this weird thing has happened.

Now I am planning to buy this TP-Link TD-W9977 300Mbps Wireless VDSL/ADSL Modem Router (Black) Amazon.in: Buy TP-Link TD-W9977 300Mbps Wireless VDSL/ADSL Modem Router (Black) Online at Low Prices in India | Reviews & Ratings
But my beetel uses Annex B profile, where as this modem uses Annex A/L/M, is it possible that Airtel supports Annex A also along with B?

I asked Airtel cc, but seems like they don't have any clue and in the reviews for this modem, one of them is saying it works and the other says it doesn't. Just a little confused and any help would be appreciated.

^ Have you checked your local olx/quickr classified ads? I just saw two Airtel provisioned Huawei HG630a listed for just 700 bucks.

SO the Airtel guys replaced my Binatone with Beetel 777VR1 on fw V01.00.05_2 and guess what? 2 days stable as a rock. No disconnections yet. Will let you guys know more once I test this more.

EDIT: I don't initiate the PPPoE session with this though. I use my Asus AC router for that. I keep these in bridged mode ONLY.

EDIT 2: They also replaced my cables but the Binatone modem/ router was still dropping the link. There is a known issue in the Binatone routers according to CC.

EDIT 3: The support technician offered to upgrade my modem firmware today but I asked him to not. I mean why fix what isn't seemingly broken, right?

Can you check your firmware again is it V01.00.05_2_Test3 or just V01.00.05_2? And for last 3-4 days, even I have not noticed any disconnection on my beetel and nothing on the log too. Probably, they must have done something on the backend. If others can confirm the same, then we can keep using Beetel for now.

Which Asus router you are using?
