Hi everyone, I recently upgraded to Airtel V-Fiber 40Mbps plan and ever since my torrent speeds are reduced to 500-1000 KBps with rare spikes to 1.5 MBps. I even tried a well seeded torrent such as Ubuntu but no change. I did not have any problems on my previous ADSL 16Mbps plan.
And since people over here are getting good speeds, someone please help me to fix it.

My nephew took Airtel BB two weeks back, my friend also got it a week ago. Both living in my street only.
I warned them about modem issues already. They both received Beetel modems only. So far so good:emoji_thumbsup:
Now i'm facing Link issues with D-Link...OMG...Why me?:p Worked fine for 48 hrs
Downstream fluctuates from 3 mbps -40 mbps

Engineer came..fixed it temporarily. But no use.

I should check with my uncle about the modem he has been given. I asked the Airtel representative to try to give him a Huawei router. But of course, that does not mean shit.

What exactly is the problem? I mean would a person who uses the internet occasionally face it significantly?

Update after 1 week usage -
My D-Link VDSL modem works 100% fine with no issues so far:emoji_ok_hand:
The earlier link drop issues was due to improper split connection done by my electrician which ended up in shortage of voltage(DSL line) to modem

Good to hear that it wasn't the modem, you had me a little worried earlier when you said you were facing issue with this modem. My cousin too got the same modem, the wifi range is fantastic on it.

OFFTOPIC: Any body in Bangalore or any part of India witnessing massive fibre laying by Airtel for Internet connection??? Since yesterday Airtel contractors are laying Fibre conduit in my area for FTTH. Surprising though because its difficult to get any drilling permission in my area since its Judicial Layout housing High Court judges and Advocates... Since a decade there has been no FTTH provider in our area except local cable service provider. More surprisingly it hints launch of Airtel FTTH to counter Jio Fibre as airtel has not been offering FTTH yet....
