Old customer here. In my case they upsold with a promise of 40 Mbps and not honoring it. I requested them to waive the charges as I'm not really getting any speed upgrade. I used to get quick response from both Nodal and Appellate authority, that's not the case anymore. If they refuse (probably won't), I'm gonna cancel the connection.

my area still doesn't have it, however the airtel customer care assured me that 70% of Delhi / Gurgaon has already been upgraded to VDSL.
That seems like an utter load of horses**t. When I called them a few weeks back they told me it hasn't even launched in Delhi yet! (and I shoudl wait for them to contact me when it does launch).

CC told same to me also. However on feedback of that some other complaint i rated them 6.
Got a call on why I rated so and I asked her about vfiber/40mbps and she said it's available in my area after putting me on hold sometime.

So guys better call 198 and register complaint about not getting 40mbps.

Got the same reply from CC that I'll get a message when its available.
I am not sure that Vfiber will even work in my area because the loop length of my connection is 1800m

It will work. I had vdsl last january (2016) when I was living in gurgaon. On adsl, my max speeds were capped at 2mbps due to the distance, however post vdsl, speeds increased to 18mbps. All they need to do is change your profile from the backend and stick up a vdsl router.

So upon tweeting I got a call from the Cyber-Escalation team. Same thing. No timeline on when our area would get V-Fiber. "Hypothetically" we could get anywhere between 1 to 6-7 months according to their executive, but no guarantees understandably. Frankly, Airtel taking existing customers for granted is disappointing, so am shifting to ACT Fibernet (will try them for a month and if good, then shift permanently, else revert to Airtel). 300GB Download + 300GB Upload @ 100Mbps (Download AND Upload) sounds awesome!!! I just hope their service is up to the mark, because their pricing is bang on (Rs. 3450 incl taxes per month).

New week, new day. Yet another 'give us 24 to 48 hours more' tagline call just now. Their nodal/appellate authority still hasn't responded and are constantly ignoring me.
