Airtel XStream fiber port forwarding or DMZ

I recently got xstream fiber installed. I have a ZTE F670LV9 device provided by Airtel. Static IP is also enabled by Airtel on my request.

I am trying to make port forwarding work, but it doesn't seem to be working. Anyone has had similar issues?

I have a laptop connected to the same router at 192.168.1.4 and running a simple web server on port 8000. ZTE router is 192.168.1.1. Nothing happens when I set port forwarding in ZTE > Security > Port Forwarding.

You need to request them to enable the bridge mode I think then only you will get option for port forwarding

I have the same router from airtel xstream and facing the same problem was there any luck trying to open the port cuz i can open the port from the zte site like you but when I check it they are stilll closed even tried dmz still no luck

@jazz Are you on public IP or Static IPv4 or CGNAT? Also to test open port you need to have a service running on the forwarded host.
These are just primitive things but mentioning as it's unclear from your post.

@rohtks hey I am on public ip most probably because I used to have a static ip from airtel but I canceled the subscription for it. I tested the open port site and its not working in fact not a single port is open according to that site

you need following to work in tandem for port forwarding to work
1. you hv public ip at WAN end of your router (routable IP can be static as well)
2. ISP firewall is not blocking the port
3. Correctly set port forwarding rule
4. Router firewall relaxed or at least not blocking it
5. A service running on the port on the destination host machine that is listening on it for incoming connections
6. firewall not blocking on the destination host

now check each and every parameter. When i was on public iP with airtel port forwarding worked well on ZTE router.

1. I checked my ip its dynamic ip address
2. idk how to check the isp I contacted them and they said we don't have anything about port forwarding contact your local isp technician
3. I saw a few tutorials of this router and i think i'm setting it correctly
4. firewall is down i switch it off and even disabled the anti-hack feature (ddos)
5. not sure about this one
6. i am the destination system on port checker its stilll not working

what port u are forwarding, what is the service running on that port on the host? share the screenshot of the router settings
