Airtel Xstream Static IP Rental increased to Rs. 299+GST

I don’t see it worth for my use cases. Earlier I was getting increased speeds over the static IP address, now that’s fixed too.

I just use Tailscale or WireGuard for private connectivity between few locations.

@MrGordon bro is your speed also capped as per plan according to latest updates or are you getting 20% more speeds that was normal with Airtel?

I do see around 20% more, currently I am on the 10 Mbps basic plan (as backup), so I see around 12-13 Mbps.

Bro it's Rs 299 + GST. In the last 2-3 years Airtel has hiked Static IP charges from 99 to 199 and now 299. Their attitude is take it or leave it.

My Static IP assigned on 12th Sept has still not been activated for some mysterious reason. So Airtel screws up big time and charges you for it too!

@Chip they always screw up in activating static ip its a never ending saga with airtel and static ip.

Not in my previous 2 experiences bro those IPs worked the minute I configured my pfSense router. This time it's a disappointment. And the best part each time I tell them to deactivate it they say they cant because my original complaint about no connectivity with the IP is still open. One has to go 'WT*!!" I've already told them to reverse any charges in the next Airtel Black bill.

i'm on static IP as well from the last 2 days and my connection speed has gone up from 200 MBPS to 240 MBPS. Connection is stable with no change to latency.
